Time is on the march and I have been getting restless. The Forrie will be going and I have pretty much decided on an Isuzu Dmax. Probably December this year will be the date, thereabouts anyway.
I will be getting an automatic extracab or spacecab as I think they are called now. Dmax has only 2 specs in this model and I was thinking of getting the upper spec one but think I will lower my sights and get the poverty pack model.
Probably $5,000 difference between them and that would go a long way with some ARB stuff.
The poverty pack comes with steel 16" wheels and I found a brand new set of 5 17" alloys WITH tyres straight of a new MU-X and got them for $500. They are the same as the Dmax alloys. My mate is picking them up today and will keep them for me.
Poverty pack gets vinyl instead of carpet,different headlights,not so good sound,no side steps and no steering wheel audio controls and a couple of other minor things.
The upper spec one also comes std with a tub which I would have to dispose of as I need a tray and the poverty pack comes as cab/chassis.
I still get 6 airbags,traction control,abs,cruise,ebd,stabilty control and 5 star safety so that's cool.
I'm slowly stockpiling stuff,like the wheels,got my solar panel,pickup a 90w lightbar on the way home and will buy one once it all comes together and there is a good deal going.
Can't wait.....but patience is required.
