I'm looking to acquire a small, durable, off road trailer and have been searching for months. Finally ran across the Morris Mule Trailer Company and wonder if anyone has any experience with their trail grade mule. For the price, I can't find a better deal but would love to hear from others pulling a gear hauler behind a Sub.

G'day Outback4me & :welcome: to ORS.

There is some great info etc in those links that Ratbag has highlighted above :iconwink:

G'day again OB4

I just had a look at their web site (and added the URL to your OP ... :iconwink:). Looks to be a good, versatile trailer system they have there.

One word of advice, try to get wheels and tyres that are the same size as those on your vehicle fitted, if possible.

Thanks Ratbag, appreciate the pointers and a bit of direction, a guy could get lost around these forums....LOL, wasn't sure if it was proper to add links and such but for anyone interested, it's www.morrismule.com

Gidday OB4

You are welcome, mate.

I do understand about the getting lost part :iconwink: .

We do try to make the forums more logical, and therefore make the information more readily available and findable.

Kevin (Admin) added a new sub-forum about a year ago containing third party adverts for stuff that might be of interest to members here. The sort of things that we have no personal interest in, but know that some other members would kill for the info! The Internet is already larger than the observable Universe :poke:  :rotfl:.

He also added another sub-forum this morning which will eventually contain all the legal and insurance stuff to do with modifications. ATM, these topics clutter up individual threads all over the forum, and are all but impossible to find when needed.

Back on topic, there is a member's gallery provision on this forum accessible from your user profile - both stills and videos. This is handy if you do not already have an image hosting account somewhere.

Posts can be edited indefinitely. It helps if you explain why ... ;).

Camping trailers are almost infinitely variable. Probably because we have almost infinitely variable requirements from them!

Mine has gone from being a relatively light-weight, on-road box trailer some 32 years ago to a reasonably heavy duty, off-road camper trailer (when I finally get my trailer tent in Sydney ... ). Seeing as how I am not about to mistake my Fox for a Maybach V12 half-track any time soon, this should be all that I require. Others need really heavy duty stuff. I might add that most of the latter that I have seen are only about as strong as mine is anyway.

The Morris Mule (trail version) looks to be an excellent choice if you are not proposing to fit a trailer tent sometime later on.

It might be useful to enquire whether they also have an off-road hitch available. If you are going to be doing really rough stuff, these allow better articulation between your car and the trailer.
