Hi Guys, my car is a MY07 XT Luxury.

I've only had it two weeks but we also own an MY06 XT Luxury and a '90 Liberty sedan with 6" lift. Liberty died just before Easter so I had to replace it quickly as I already had the barge and accommodation booked and payed for!

Mods are 40mm strut lift, sump guard, KYB struts with X series springs, 16" GT Forester Rims and 215/65/16 AT tyres. I also added a towbar which I stole from wife's car, some Thule roof racks and a subaxtreme picnik table.

The Tires are Gripmax brand which cost only $110 each through a discount online tire shop called ozzytyres.

Did anyone say anything about taking a Subaru there?
I heard if your car doesnt look like a full on 4x4 they may not let you on the island?
 
I have just put those exact wheels on my Foz, which is the same colour and model. Its like looking into the future for when i get my new tyres.

Looks like a great spot as well, but Nacha is right about the tracks cutting into the forest.

I wouldn't get too excited about the erosion, that photo represents about 0.01% of the island. That's bound to happen in places over a long period of time. Remember the whole island is only sand.

The QPWS rangers monitor the tracks well. I'm sure if they were concerned they could close this track for rehabilitation.
