Light bars and other stuff.

Get one! You'll never regret it!

They are becoming the most popular accessory as far as I can tell over here in W.A. The amount of cars that have them now is crazy. Just the other day, I saw a nice new FPV Pursuit Ute with one stuck to the front, attached through the grill I think, did a double take.

I bought mine to light the sides of the road and it does it's job perfectly. I reckon you could definitely find cheaper prices (ebay) but those look pretty good.

I think to be legal in NSW you have to mount them in pairs - is this correct? (as per any other front lights)

Thats correct but I believe there is currently a review of those laws being conducted, at least in WA.
Basically, if your worried, find a photo of a local police vehicle with a single bar and save it in your phone!

Nice - however "Does not ship to Australia"

Looks good but I would have thought it would have thrown a bit longer with all those leds. I intend to put some thing on the back also for reversing with the boat.
The other problem is that if something goes wrong with them you are stuffed if you get them offshore.
I hate ebay anyway and much prefer to use it as a price guide and then hassle retailers. I might pay a bit more but feel much happier knowing I won't get hasseled if something stuffs up.

Maybe we could get a bit of a group buy together and see if they will give a better price. I'm happy to contact them as I will be getting a couple of things including the Platinum camp kit which you can order with just white lights or a combination of white and orange lights if you ring them. The orange ones are better for not attracting insects and I will get half and half.
They sent me an email saying they can do that as long as you ring them first.

Might start another thread after I ask them about a group buy and see what they say.
If anyone is interested a prelim post here would be good. Everyone would be responsible for their own orders.

I'm up in Sydney at the moment and on the way up I stopped at Autobarn Nowra to see if they had any Korr lightbars in stock. They did have the 90w one which is the first time I have had a look at one and they seemed pretty good.
I was going to pick one up on the way home and the fellow was going to take $40 off the price and this weekend Autobarn have 20% off storewide so I rang them and paid for it and will pick it up tomorrow on my way back to Tathra.
Cost me $295 instead of $369 so I figured it's worth a go at that price. Won't be the end of the world if it is rubbish and I can report on it when I put it on the new Dmax whenever I get it .

Be very interested in your report.
I run 3 lights on the front, which is illegal, but gives me a good spread as the outers are angled slightly out.
I certainly can`t see the logic in having to have lights in pairs, other than bureaucracy, if only because putting 4 in line would be tricky from a space point.

Probably be a while before I can report!! Could be just over a year before I get the new Dmax and I'm not going to fit them to the Subie as I couldn't be bothered putting them on and taking them off later. I have spotties and don't really use them much but the new car will be used in a totally different way.
I'm just buying stuff when I get a good deal for future use.
