i want strut and rear subframe spacers and king raised height springs but i would rather have my car go 200k miles before stuff starts falling apart. i know plenty of people have put strut/subframe spacers and springs on their cars but i wonder how long til there would be issues? if any? someone has told me with my concerns, one or the other would probably be the best answer. and because i like to rallycross my car, im leaning toward king springs. any advice?

Strut top spacers if made and installed correctly will never fail, and are the far more reliable option for rallycross.

I would normally suggest king springs over spacers just because they are much more heavy duty than stock springs so will not sag anywhere near as much when loaded up, and will improve handling and cornering dramatically.

However they are significantly more pressure on the spring perch and in the Gen 3/4 outback the rear struts can't handle it. Hit a hard bump and they will likely collapse. Im not sure if your struts are the same though.

I highly doubt your stock struts/springs will last 200k miles if you do much rallycross however. That's a lot to ask of even a road only cars struts.

ok i did not know that about the rear spring perches, good to know. i have an '11 2.5i. i never would've thought the spacers would be a better option for me. i plan on only doing about 8 events a year, last year i only did 2.
