Hello All
I'm selling my 2004 forester x as I just bought a 2010 diesel forester and i had it modified by MRT performance and it goes like a V8 with 520nm torque and 140kw power Would give a XT a run for the money except the short rev range 7 seconds -100ks not too bad pulls hard till road speed says enough 2nd used to give the best punch now 3rd to 6th is impressive
its got a baffle in front of the air intake I think its to stop rain getting into the air box
Would this be correct as it probably would do well without it
Anyone know of any hassles with the rattle juice engine

Keen to see how long this engine lasts. After all it only a small 2.0l engine.
Very impressive though! Where are you located??? I'd love to see this thing in person. .

How fortunate- just up the road from Taza's place.

I thought it would be closer to 4,000kms, but when it's just up the road it won't matter that much will it?

^ A mere 4,344 kms, if one takes the shortcut through Broken Hill ...

Otherwise, 4,848 kms ...

Route map here

Just a short drive ... :poke: :iconwink: :rotfl:

Sounds like the average driver in Sydney's Haymarket....

Trip down from Brissy to the gold fields of NSW 4800kilometres this trip averaged 11.4ks/100 towing windsor rapid 18ft 1.6t Boot full of fridges and car full of bodies at max legal speed nothing had to overtake me i passed everything in sight as usual
canoe on roof cruise control on
Only the very steep hills required 4th gear to maintain 100klicks
I don't like the steering gear ratio Can make the vehicle twitchy worse with a large van behind Other than that THIS IS AN EXCELLENT TOW VEHICLE With plenty of power on demand
Power is right there from 2000rpm which is hwy speed anyway
Interesting to hear the truckies comments when i step out on a hill to overtake on overtake lanes From 60-100+ in the length of a semi up hill Had a guy in a nissan patrol 3litre call me up to ask what i was driving as he could not match me with a cub camper in tow in the New England Ranges I told him 2litre diesel forester He was quiet from then on Probably going to sell it HA

Yes, the big boys always love to bag us & our Subi's, until we show them what they can really do, don't they :raspberry: :p
When & will they ever learn

Sounds terrific!

Has yours got the hydraulic or electric power steering?
Just curious.
