Just a quick trip to take some furniture and stuff up to a family member in Brisbane - and also to bed in the nifty new suspension.

Ready to go. In the background, Powlett Hill and (much bigger but further away) Mt Kooroocheang, two of the many volcanoes in the central Victorian volcanic plains. (West of Dalesford, north of Ballarat.)

Note the lift - nothing silly, designed for exactly this sort of long-distance cruising over roads both good and bad.

Rule One: always stop for nice young birds.

This one is a Wood Duck.

^ Safe trip, Tannin. Wish I were going that way, but life is what happens when one's planning other things ...

I like your young bird. Looks like a nice duck ...

Where the NSW Inland Slopes meet the plains - near Junee.

Remember Rule One?

Brown Treecreeper, Mt Terrick Terrick, North-central Victoria.

The car is looking good Tannin, nice to hear you've got it sorted out now! Best thing I ever did for my car, the lift.

Great photography as usual...

More from the Inland Slopes, this time near Young, where the cherries on your shelves right now come from. As you know, cherries grow underground, like peanuts. This orchard hasn't been harvested just yet.

Black-faced Cockoo-shrike with supper, Koorawatha, NSW.

And finally a little bit of swiming with the locls.

The Young one is using a CPL, NachaLuva. Probably also the Junee one. the others are bare glass.

By the way, that's not a shadow. That's me with an all-over Queeensland suntan. Possibly.
