Black screen with cursor only at boot | 100% FIXED
Go to...
Double click on Shell and an edit box will pop-up. Delete explorer.exe entry completely and then just retype it back in! Your done!!!!
It's a simple regedit where you delete the explorer.exe entry and then retype it explorer.exe back into the edit box!
For some crazy reason the registry link to this entry becomes corrupt causing the issue. By retyping in the entry you repair the link and the computer can reboot straight into windows without the dreaded black screen & cursor hang!
Only took me two years to work out this one!
