Anyone at Wagga Wagga?? Anyone go fishing out there??
The reason i ask is that my Minn Kota electric motor needs repairs and there is a service centre out there...strange...NONE in Sydney but one at Wagga Wagga!!
I will therefore make the most of a bit of bad luck and take it out myself with my boat and have a look around. The guy from Wagga Marine got back to me VERY quickly and is aware of he problem and has advised me that it is a little bit common but a quick fix can be done. About 2 hrs.
It's only about 460 klms from tathra and near the Hume Reservoir and the Murrumbidgie River...so why not go and have a look:raz::raz:.
I have never fished in these places so i thought i will put my trip to Mallacoota off until next year and go out to Wagga Wagga.
Probably going to go at the end of November or early Dec but free and easy.
Looking forward to it!!

Ha, Silver... Not specifically Wagga, but your journey home (of course you will have your motor going by then)... you could try your hand at Buckenderra, Frying Pan or Anglers Reach. While you wait for your motor to be fixed you could check out the Gold mine at Adelong. Of course, if you were keen for a cod... you could try the Mighty Murray @ Jingelic.

Happy fishing!

Best regards,

Yup... it's great. Just be sure to take some warm clothes.. it will be a little fresher there than what you're used to!

Ha...i know that well...i never go without warm clothes...even when i go fishing i have stuff to cover me up or keep me warm.
I noticed that Cooma was -4c just a day or 2 ago. Too cold for me so i will not even consider it until well into November and hope it warms up just a bit.

On Wednesday i left for Wagga around 8am and headed to Bega-Cooma-Wagga on the Snowy Mtns Highway. About 415klms all up.
What a great drive:ebiggrin::)!! Fantastic road for driving...as in lots of corners, hills and decents, great views...one of the best and most enjoyable drives i have done for yonks...time just flew by. Best of all there was VERY little traffic on my way over and back so i could give the little Subie a bit of stick and cut corners etc...great fun!!!
Got the Minn Kota fixed and picked up some stuff i had ordered at BCF and they had a sale on that night 6pm-9pm for BCF Club members with 25% off all fishing gear. They offered the deal to me so i didn't have to hang around so i lightened my pocket a bit...as you would...and headed home.
Made it to Cooma as dark fell...the Subie was flying!!! I was racing the sun!! I didn't want to stay overnight but night driving is not so good with all the Kangas around but all was good.
I'll get back up there in summer. Maybe Feb or March.
Excellant drive and great service at Wagga Marine. Nice people.
