A quick message to those affected by the Colorado floods.

I hope no more deaths occur, keep safe & DO NOT risk crossing flood waters...its EXTREMELY dangerous!
 
Yes I've seen these devastating floods on the news, not good at all.
For all those effected, I hope you are safe & stay safe.
My thoughts are with all of you, your families & loved ones.

Hope all our CO members are safe!!!

It's crazy out there, I was watching some ariel footage of Longmont CO and it was just devastated. I lived in Longmont way back in '91 for a couple of months, so it kind of hit home a bit. I've also got a good friend in Boulder, and his family is alright. Hope the rains stop soon.
 
Ya, things are not great right now. Not much let up either. Supposed to rain throughout the state through to midnight tonight. Luckily I live in an area not affected by the floods however I am near them and have been impacted by them. I go to school in Boulder and classes were canceled on Thursday and most likely will be canceled tomorrow as well. Lots of damage and there will be cleanup efforts for the next several weeks. I have a feeling I will be getting intimate with a shovel soon. Thanks for the thoughts. I'm sure Ericstell will pop in here sometime soon to update on his situation.

I have friends in Longmont but they are reasonably high up off Longview Drv. If anyone is familar with that area would appreciate an update. It's an estate south of Niwot Rd & East of Diagonal H'way; it consists mainly of massive homes. I've emailed them but no answer as yet but I imagine services are cut.

EDIT: Just heard from my friends (who left yesterday and are now in St Louis): "High and dry - but can't say as much for our neighbors many of whom are stranded ... It's bad, very bad."
