Love it, Pigs!

If Subaru could be talked into making it, the cockies here would love it, just as they loved the Brumby!

Why Subaru didn't sell the Brat in this country beggars belief.

AND: Good one, Lefty ... :rotfl:.

This forum's Phizinza is the PhotoShop artist here, what an amazing job! Well done..

Reminds me of someone's avatar :poke::biggrin:

Yeah, Its very confusing why they didnt bring the Baja out here considering the brumby's success.

I love the tattoo attempt...why is it that you never see a nerdy tattooist? They are often very good at drawing

I think you mean Baja - the BRAT was the Brumby. They should still be producing the brumby with a more modern drivetrain and interior, some factory lift options etc, would be awesome!

Because A) the Baja isn't the same platform as the Brumby, load bed behind rear axle, 4 door not 2 door and B) from what I've read it was Subaru America that went out on a limb against Subaru Japan's recommendations and they produced the Baja. In the sales department it flopped and then production was canned shortly after.

If they got a good rugged light/small ute on the market they'd be onto a winner. Has to be 4wd with a good low range too.

Phiz did a few good photoshops years ago, like the first image in this thread they're still around. His forum would be the best place to find them ;) I like the WRX brumby concept too.

Cheers

"Baja"! THAT's the word I couldn't think of! Thanks, Bennie.
That is the car I meant, but the only name that would come to mind was "Brat"!
(It's been a long and stressful week, with a headache for much of it; a headache that I still have ... :( ).

That's what I was driving at.

A mate's Brumby (back in the 1970s) would drive across paddocks like an elf - paddocks that my '68 LC would have been hopelessly bogged to the chassis in within the length of its own wheelbase ... His Brumby barely bent the grass stems!
