Last Sunday NachaLuva and I went out to do some wheeling past Warburton. It was unbelievably muddy, really greasy stuff. Even with the tyres let down to basically nothing we still had heaps of trouble, especially me on my road tyres.

Here are some clips we took, enjoy;

You got stuck a few times but you didn't use your winch, did you ? Only the maxtrax ?

What tires do you have ?

Great vids though, thanks for sharing !

Geez mate, that sure does look slippery alright :) Especially in the 2nd & 3rd vids.

You were not kidding about it being muddy/greasy.:cool:

Looks like y'all had fun!!!

How did the clean up go???:iconwink:

Certainly was a bit of fun :lildevil:

The 2nd was the worst, zero grip, sliding all the way. At one stage the front wheels hit the edge of the (rather large) rut & ripped the steering wheel out of my hands. Fortunately I've been teaching myself to keep my thumbs on the outside of the wheel so no harm.

The 3rd last one, I'm amazed he got that far....its much steeper than it looks & clay all the way with big ruts...great effort on HT tyres!

The back lawn is now a lil higher lol :rotfl:

Why the name Starvation Creek?

Not sure...this area is an old gold rush area so maybe back then when things were reallyharsh some folks were starving...

Glad to hear you didn't break or injure your thumbs mate :)
And yes, that was one of the first things I was taught too :iconwink:

Yeah I had to used the maxtrax twice and a couple of spots we had to give up because it was just to steep and slippery.

Tyres I have are;
3 of some brand I have never heard of (probably the cheapest available) which are very much road tyres.
1 Bridgestone tyre which is also very much a road tyre
and a completely baled firestone spare tyre.

They guy who did the roadworthy on the car definitely spent as little money as he could.....
