I found a nice set of 15in Legacy wheels (+55) for about 100$ to replace my Forester steelies (+48).
I was looking at replacing them to reduce unsprung weight and to move away from the mud traps that the steelies have...
At the same time, because of the lift I was looking at possibilities for enlarging the wheelbase to preserve as good handling as possible despite the lift.
- Has anyone tried that combo with 225/70R15 wheels? I'm not sure it will even fit...
- Are spacers (at least to get back to stock offset) "not the best idea" or more of a... plain bad idea?
- Any other alternatives? (brand new wheels are not a possibility as they'd be worth half the car
though any other car's stock wheels that would fit?)
