Ok, Can I get a little lingo help here ?

Fozzy/Forry ?

Brumby ? Hatchie ?

Sump ?

SF/SG ????

:ugeek:

Any others I should know ?

Fozzy = Forester Or a muppet
Brumby = Brat or a ferrel horse
Sump, without seeing a context is an oil pan (dry sump oil system, wet sump, its a racing term)
They wont however share how they magically keep all thier fluids from running out of their cars while they are upside down. I figured out why they dont fall off due to vlecro tires and sneakers.

SF/SG i need to see context.

From another American :P

There's an SH too but ill let you figure that one out :)

The just-released 2014 Forester is apparently labeled "SJ." So now we have SF (1998-2002), SG (2003-2008), SH (2009-2013), and SJ (2014 onward).

As nipper said, sump = oil pan. The term you will see here is "sump guard" aka "bash plate," which is underbody protection for the engine. That's the first upgrade that I would recommend you make on your new Forester, Rizzo.

The one that puzzled me a good bit at first is "arvo," which I think is Australian for "evening."

Oh, and tyre = tire. But that one is obvious. :poke:

Don't worry about asking stoopid questions, my boss always said "a stupid question asked is better than a stupid mistake made"

I think everyone above has covered the basic lingo for ya.

How on earth do the Aus members know that Bob is my uncle? :iconwink:

Same way the Japanese get "Ohio" for good morning and "Hi" for Yes I suppose! Just another foreign language!

"Bob" was my uncle too - gee he gets around!

Bob's my brother in law ... And a friend (or two ... ).

But let's start by sorting all the replies in this thread into Affer Becka Lauder ... :iconwink:
