This is what it is all about. Get out there and have some fun

Haha That's what we do every time we go out. Get out there, rip the s**t up, have a blast and show the big 4wd owners who's boss   We don't go driving around slowly looking at every bit of scenery, which is what most of the clubs do(no offence to anyone). We go and have fun.

**Caution, having fun in your Subaru may break things.

The tortoise and the hare.

I hear ya Taza, some of us have gotten old and know what a compressed spine feels like too! There's a time and place for every type of fun no doubt though and I love seeing the underdog come out on top:iconwink:
Field cars, RZR S sidebysides, Yota 4wd, a Jeep and motorcycles have provided ways for me to raise hell through the years. My Subie is for getting off road, to the same places, at a more relaxed pace, most of the time... I'm trying to talk a friend of mine into building me a huge tabletop jump from the massive mulch piles, from tree companies, he has at his place:twisted:
Also, the OHV trails opened at Uwharrie Nat.l Forest, 20 minutes away, this weekend. Red clay mud and an all night rain could be fun.:monkeydance:

Haha, I'm following mate. I know some people don't wanna do what some of us do.. Most of us young guys(20-40yrs) like to get out there and have a good time. I may aswell do it now while I can and hopefully I setting down and become abit wiser over the next 30 years ;)

Oh I wanna do the same stuff, that's why I'm scouring the web for an older GL or Brat!
Yep, you'll slow down a little as you wisen' up, get old, but if ya pace yourself now, you'll still be able to do it all at 50/60 yrs old. Damn I sound old!

Well I am nearly 50 but i still love doing the things you guys are doing on the video. Only i use my VW buggy for that stuf, that car is nearly bomb proof. I am affraid that my old forester who is also my daily woudn't survive this. When i go go off road with the fozzy my wife dares to go with me, not with the buggy, then my kids are joining me!

But I do know now why your springs are breaking

I hear you taza & totally agree

You can either go hard or go home :lildevil:

Good stuff, I'd like to come along on one of their runs.

The harder you go though, the more significant the consequences if you come unstuck.

Headed out on a mates buck party mission in the sticks last night.

The dust was terrible and we were doing everything we could to be at the front of the pack. There were some questionable overtaking manoeuvres and a bit of mirror folding on each other when the track looked like it could almost support vehicles side by side.

The forester was by far the most comfortable vehicle there and had the power to weigh ratio to get on top of the sand and hotfoot it.

Plenty of mechanical failure including diffs and CVs but the worst was this:

Poor visibility, low tyre pressures and too much pace. Driver and passenger fine luckily. Poor guy had already front flipped a zook last year and just finished rebuilding this one. He's now looking at foresters with their low centre of gravity and strong passenger cell.

Going hard is good, going too hard is bad.

Thats not good to see.

Thankfully the driver & their passenger are ok.

We may not have diff lockers or the best wheel travel but we have prob the safest offroad vehicle out there! :lildevil:

Very well put!

I'm sure alcohol was a factor too  Is it still in your backyard?? I'll come and have a look later in the week :iconwink:
I saw Ross's FJ40 being towed by him in his Camry on the freeway this arvo, went past in a purple XR6 Turbo  What happened to his car too?

No, stone sober, but he had just watched a few episodes of Monster Jam! Yes, still there for a while I assume. Ross did his rear diff followed by a front hub, alcohol may have been a factor in that instance.

Poor Soob has developed an exhaust leak, it sounds faster but goes slower.

Great montage. There's a bit of mongrel in me still, too. I think you kind of have to throw the soob at some things just for the sake of momentum to overcome the lack of torque low in rev range. The more dents I get in the 09, the more prepared I am to accept another one. Latest was a Hazelgrove Rd 'roo that tried to climb into the back seat without opening the door on Friday night. Whoever drove the little red wagon is a maniac, same with the little blue one. Amazing what those little cars will do...

I have seen that one before, but not for a long time.

It's one vid I can watch time & time again :raz:
