I've got some parts on order and am trying to decide which tires to order. Will this tire/size work? 1999 Forester
Toyo at2 215/70-16 tires
Stock wheels
gr2 struts
king lift springs
3/4" fr/rr lift

Thanks
Mike

I don't know anything about gr2 struts. They are likely to be the limiting factor.

There will be some minor rubbing elsewhere but that can be sorted with a a hammer and a heat gun.

Fender liners will have to go.

I'd fit the struts before buying tyres.

215/70/16 win not fit in the spare wheel well without blood, sweat and swearing.

Thanks Stilson.

Thanks for the help, I'll def wait until the parts are on before I order tires then. I probably jumped the gun when I ordered the parts already, that's my m.o.:shake:

21565R16 is usually about as tight as you can go with KYB GR2 struts for an SG, not sure about SF - the position of the spring perch is the limiting factor. You'll need to deflate the spare, say down to 15-18 psi, and perhaps do a bit of panel beating in the spare wheel well to fit the larger rubber.

On an SF Foz I would def go 15" rims. I think the biggest you can fit is 215/75/15 with the SG struts but not 100% sure.

depending on tred depth, I've 205/75/15 firestone at's and there get pretty dam close to the perch about 8mm space on my gr2 struts, the size your looking at is roughly 11mm larger. the firestones have a very deep tred as well so the difference might end up negligable, could get the tyre place to check.
