obsessed - this is my Foz

my foz is normally a road hugger - 17" alloys and sitting on coil overs.

it is about to be lifted back up and new wheels and offroad rubber installed for a bit more dirty fun and camping.

this was the 1st lifting of my foz a few years ago.
was lifted pedders springs on custom struts - we cut the spring seats loose and then rewelded them about 2" higher on the strut body.
the 2nd pic has neither front of rear sway bar attached.

the foz is slightly modded in the go fast and handling areas at the moment, the power will stay but the suspension is in the midst of an offroad over haul. nothing to extreme but will make it more fun in the dirt.

the go fast bits are :
VF28 turbo
apexi power fc
apexi avcr
sti tmic
silicon
3" exhaust
cusco LSD
and other stuff

the stop bits are :
4 pots up front
2 pots in the rear
braided brake lines

the handleing bits are :
'07 XT struts and springs (about to go in)
sti front control arms
H brace
diff braces and mount locks
rear strut brace and custom X brace

theres plenty of other small bits and peices as well

so thats where its at and this is whats going on it once the new strut setup is in

thats the story so far
more'll be updated once its hitting the dirt more and i'll definitely get some pics up

cheers

Nice, obsessed.

Is that the ridge "road" between Lorne and Apollo Bay?

cheers Ratbag,
ahhh it was a few years ago and i was just following along so not exactly sure on the road, it was more inland from anglesea towards Bambra, or the Big Hill area.

Sounds like the ridge road ... varies between being a doddle for my Impreza; and a bog for log trucks ....

Depends on how much rain there's been, and how long since the COS and Surf Coast Council have had a stoush about who should grade/repair it ...

Oooo looks great mate! I love the rear spoiler on the SF Forester.. might have to get me one :iconwink:
What size tyres are they? Is it auto or manual?

Neat foz.

Going to drop the dual range gearbox in too? Or is it an auto?

Cheers

Bennie

The ones in the offroad pics are cooper S/Ts 235/70/16s
It's a manual, did ok on the hills but was a little 'over tyred'
The clutch got a fair workout on some of the climbs.

New tyres are 205/70/15 maxxis trepadors
Hopefully have them on the Foz in the next week or so - or month as I'm pretty lazy with getting things on the car done if the suns out and there's any sort of surf :)
