Center Dash Console

I think I asked this one on the old forum but can't remember the answer. Can someone explain or give me directions on taking the center dash console out, so I don't bust something trying. I'm hoping to be able to run some wires under the dash board this way.

I have a 06 forester.

That's for the 04. I'm not sure what year they changed the dash.
