Hello pero112, welcome to offroadsubaru !

I don't live very far from you (switzerland)

Your Forester looks great ! I have seen just today another winch like yours but only available for SF models on Taubenreuther.de. I think its a good idea and that means you go off road :)

Very cool Peter, very cool.

It wasn't long ago people said you couldn't fit a winch to a forester, now we are seeing more and more of them.

Welcome Peter! That is very good work. The law does not allow us to modify our cars like that over here. I wanted a hitch receiver for a winch added to the bull bar of my 4WD ute but the manufacturer refused because of air bags.

Mr. Peter, great installation indeed. The photos are great, and your metal work is excellent.

El Pedorro is nearly ready to install a towing baseplate to the front of his 2012 Forester X 5mt. Your example has given him some ideas for adding a winch mount. The baseplate resembles your winch mount, except that it has two sockets for installing tow hooks to pull the Forester behind El Pedorro's motor home. The addition of a third socket would allow mounting a winch.

Thank you very much for your fine example.

Happy USA Thanksgiving. Merry Whole World Christmas.

G'day pero112 & :welcome: to ORS.

Very nice work with the winch mate, very nice indeed

Regards
Mr Turbo

Howdy and :welcome: pero112!!!

Excellent work on the winch. Do you also have it set up to go in the rear trailer hitch too???

Good idea - how do you open the cargo door?

Pero112, that is a great-looking Forester!

New lights bar (bull bar SUBARU LEGACY 1991), winch and spare tire carrier on the towbar (INOX).

Out of interest, did you have to grind the front brake calipers on your SG Forester to fit the 15" steel wheels from an SF? I love the winchbar, it's a nice piece of work and fits well.
