I headed up to Mt.Hood on a cold day...21*f and dropped to 19*f at one point...brrr...(gotta love those seat heaters)

Bennet pass off hwy 35. All offroad at this point..a few inches of snow and a nice icy glaze underneath..!

Traction at times was difficult. I aired down to 15psi and had to take alternate lines skirting the edges to let the tires grab rocks, roots...
I did have chains however. Until I really needed them they stayed in the hatch.

I even used the left foot braking technique ...to crawl along to get traction..The LSD was working hard..

Once heading up Gunsight ridge we were treated to a nice view of badger lake. Onward down FS 4410 a couple views of Hood and back out to hwy 44, 35

note: the foz in camo...lol

Wow, I'm really jealous. Looks like a great place to have fun especially in the snow!

Beautiful, and maybe your tires are not adequate for snow, only deep snow.

They are rated for snow...however , were talking a layer of ice under the snow...you dig down to it...and slide..I could kick the dry powder snow off to reveal the ice layer...Trust me...

Ok, so maybe some tires with pikes !

BTW, I love your camo, the next SF I will buy will be white, most beautiful color for an SF !
