A small trip report of 10 days in Corsica, I drove from Geneva to Toulon (south of France), then took the ferry to Bastia (north Corsica), the island is about 200 km long and 100 km wide but there are no highways and the average speed is 35-40 km/h.

Day 1, I drove around Cap Corse and into the Désert des Agriates which is not really a desert but a bush. A 13 km long track called "Malfalcu" which can't be made without a 4x4 brought me to a beautiful beach where I met a few big 4x4 that were surprised to see a Forester !

Day 2, Back on the track to Ile Rousse, then on the road on the west coast down to Porto, overnight on the beach

Day 3+4, Road down to Propriano, I slept in a bungalow for 2 nights and met very nice people + washday !

Day 5, Back on a track on the way to Bonifacio, quit hard but beautiful and another night on the beach, alone !

Day 6, Visit of Bonifacio, impressive !

Day 7, Visit of Porto-Vecchio, then a look on the map to find another track, that one will be a forest track up the mountain, the weather was bad (rain and fog) and after 2 hours of driving, the track became a pedestrian track, impossible to go further and I blew a tire, had to change it with the spare (205/70/15 vs 215/70/16) ! Drove down very carefully to Porto Vecchio to repair...Slept on the beach with a very strong wind, in fact, i didn't really sleep.

Day 8, Got the fixed wheel back on the Forester, then a drive to some hot tubs to relax for the day

Day 9, Back to the north on the "Malfalcu" track for the last night in Corsica

Day 10, Ferry in Bastia and back home
