A Picture says a thousand words
I must say I am impressed with the home made snorkel, it was a well sealed unit just not that fussed with the way it is screwed on.

Only crap thing is that it's AWD so u cant do burnouts or.very good slides if your planing to go blow it up out bush...

i blew mine up :rotfl:

looks like a good snorkel unit, im surprised people can afford to trash a newish car :surprised:

by the looks of it, it had a hard life towards the end, did you get a pic of under the bonnet set up for the snorkel by any chance?

Hands up who didn't notice the snorkus until the second pic / thought the first pic was about the bumper ornamentation... ;)

I think it's more the overall theme

Besides that snorkel would be more of a hindrance than a help, it's too thin and would starve the motor of O2

Try out centre road wreckers, they've usually got one or two in there regularly now.

Ummm... Me! Only because my browser size cut off the bottom part of the image with those things on display...

Dunno about that. The stock exhaust would probably be the real hinderance - or the water coming in your intake from not having a snorkel like this could be an issue too :p

Cheers

Let's just say I would have used a larger diameter PVC pipe, when your pulling 4000rpm you are sucking a hell of a lot of air and a long thin straw like that will just make it harder.

It sure does look like its had a hard life alright :p

As for the snorkel (& yes I did notice it in the first pic along with the two lovely ladies :iconwink:) not the prettiest one I've ever seen fitted. But hey, if it does the job why not.
I do also agree that the piping does seem to be a little thin. The next size up I think would be almost perfect :)
