a turbo impreza muffler on a 2.0 n/a forester

Hi! For a mere 35 euro I can buy a used 2.5 inch remus double tip muffler from a 1998 impreza turbo. Will this fit on my 99 2.0 n/a forester? I know that i will have to make some kind of an adapter, but is this muffler not too short for my forry?

Same floor pan so it should drop straight in, only problem may be hitting around the rear diff area, I had to have mine modded after fitting the spacers but it's a pretty straight forward job, I fitted one to my 98 n/a Liberty (after extending it by 100mm) before it was modified then fitted the same system to an old Legacy wagon I had.
