drive by wire???

gday all, anyone had any experience with this new drive by technology, i know its in the my09 foresters but not sure if its in any others, if so what does it do and will larger AT tyres and a strut lift affect it in any way?

No effect on it.

Drive by wire is still 1st generation, so its buggy. Some mfg's are more buggy then others. the worst complaint so far is dleayed downshifitng in the automatics.

Question for ya, wont lifting your car void the warrenty?

Also if you have multilink rear suspension, its impossible to do a rear lift without a lot of work.

Jay, I have it on my 04 XT. The drive by wire feel is pretty much the same as our 98 Forester. You really don't notice it. Larger tires and lifts will have no effect on dbw.

Since I've put the lift (raised springs) on my Forry, I've noticed no difference to it what so ever.

havent quite looked into it that far yet... thanks for the heads up though, will start investigating
