As I mentionned in my journal, I can't use my lightbar anymore, so I'm looking to mount my Hellas anyway in a cheap and "temporary" (for a couple months) manner, until I can afford getting a decent bullbar built.

I assume that clamps that mount on the frame (behind the bumper) then go out thru the grill are the best & cheapest way. Before I try to McGuyver something, does anyone have tips or reccomendations? Maybe something right off-the-shelf that would work?

Thanks!

(PS: I searched the forums during my lunch break, and I'll make a wider Google search, and on sf.org when I get home, incase this has already been answered)

EDIT: Durr, I'm dumb. I missed the thread just below: https://offroadsubarus.com/showthread.php?t=3771. Not for an SF, but does give a good idea of how it can be done.

I just got a piece of angle iron and bolted it through the bumper, and through the aluminum bar behind the bumper. very cheap and easy

Yeah thinking about it, considering at the car's age I most likely won't be reselling it, I think I'm just going to bolt them straight to the bumper... anyway if I do end up with that bullbar I'm hoping for, the holes won't be visible much with the bar in front of them.
