i think they are different sizes for the spring perch. but i could be wrong

Lower spring perch is fine but you would need to use 98-02 top hats in the rear (+a few washers to snug the top hat to your strut) iirc.

With that answered I'd like to add similar simple question. I'm about to install Ironman springs (as soon as they get off the slooowwww boat from Aus) with KYB SG struts on my SF, do I need the little washer spacer to swap my top hats over or is that just an issue with oem struts?

Not sure. I know you will have to use your SF top hats with the springs and struts.. I think you might actually need it but I'm not 100% sure.

Yea plan on using my SF top hats. I know you need the spacer to use SF hats on OEM SG struts, wasn't sure with the KYB's.

I think OEM is KYB...they are manufactured specially for Mr.Fuji. The aftermarket KYBs are almost identical...
