Hi guys

ive got a subaru outback 1996-98 ej25 dohc with 240km
Original struts and springs and engine and trans

just did a service last month replaced.
Sparks.leads.oil.water.radiator.tstat.air filter.oilfilter.trans fluid.

Since then i developed a hg leak and the other night it was running but the oil in the rad had blocked up the tstat and overheated again so ive left it as is and parked it .

Ive got the mechanic booked in hes putting a new ej25 in it and its only got 98.000 on it :)
Hes also doing a full service and replacing my struts and springs. ND trans service...

So that it is all done and i can start fresh with this car ive owned since june 2011

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT ANYONE WOULD SUGGEST I SHOULD GET DONE WHILE HES BUSY WITH IT . I TRUST HIM HEAPS KNOWN THE MECHANIC ALL THROUGH SCHOOL.
SO ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT.

THANKS HEAPS

Make sure it has a new timing belt, pretty easy (cheap) when the engine is out. Get him to check the water pump too, if in doubt replace it.

While he's messing around with the installation, a new set of hoses is good insurance. Keep the old ones as spares in your boot.

Ya we are all good with that kinda stuff. To do with the engine struts and trans ... just wondering about anything else i should have done

Like Nachaluva says, do the timing belt while you're at it, just to be sure.
Together with that, have a good look at the water pump while everything's out. Much easier to do it now, than later, while everythings apart :)

Regards
Mr Turbo
