Dome LED replacement

Hello,

I'm looking to replace the uber-crappy dome lights with LED modules. The size of the two main ones was easy to find: 31067. I however couldn't see any number on the cargo area light. Any idea?

Also, I checked around eBay and a couple shops like V-LED, but that number (31067) is not listed anywhere. I was a few conversions charts, but again, it's not in there.

Does anyone know what would be an equivalent size?

Cheers!

It's T-10 size but I got one of these instead with a t10 adapter.
* EXample pic only. sizes may vary and I can't remember exactly which one I got.

Well the guys at V-LED got back to me, and it appears that my "standard" size is 3175 (micrometer tells me exactly 30.46mm). Seems to make sense, except for the cargo light. Still trying to find the answer for that one.

Why did I even bother replying
Sorry, I read too quickly and though you were talking about the main ones. You're absolutely right, the cargo one is a T10 :)

Alright, so, I'll be getting from https://www.v-leds.com/ (not to give anyone free publicity, just those my local club recommended)

- 3175_4_W_6K to replace the front/center area dome lights
- 194_5_3C_W_6K to replace the cargo bulb

And I was thinking of adding two STRIP_6_6K_P stripes on the sides of the cargo area. If I'm not mistaken, considering the much lower draw LEDs have over the stock bulb, I would be able to wire them in series on the existing cargo circuit. Correct?

yes you can add strip LEDs to the same circuit. Here's mine

here's my cabin LED from ebay. People too readily dismiss ebay LEDs as inferior but I have had this for over 3 years and it's been great (and cheap!)

Got my eBay LEDs (the other shop was out of stock for halft of those I was looking for, and I wasn't to keen on paying more on shipping than on actual products...) and... Works awesome! I'll add pics shortly.

Also got my LED strips. I'm looking at adding them on the same circuit as the cargo area light, because it's never lighted properly when I need it...

Do I just find the cargo light wire, cut it, and then add the LED strip in series? As simple as that?

Thanks, SJM. Did you solder wires to the terminals in the light panel? How did you run the wires to the LEDs?

Map light. LED module on the left, stock bulb on the right (I obviously changed both; that's just for the demo :raz:)

Center passenger light LED module

As for wiring the LED strips... I'll look at that with a friend of mine who's more experienced, and I'll learn while installing them with him so next time I'll know better. That's my first car and I have had very limited car maintenance/modification experience before I had it :( (outside of checking the Westfalia's oil level and waiting for it to stop making smoke when I was a kid, LOL)
