Over 14 inches of ground clearance. :monkeydance:

I wonder if they also fiddled with the articulation, if they did and they made the model available to the public we could go and play seriously with the "big boys".

No changes to the 4wd - so its still got the standard diffs and would get diagonally hung up.
Looks like its mostly an airbagged suspension and some big tyres.

Dont think the front angle would be that great with that bar and a winch - although an extra 6 inches of lift probably helps!

With those sidebars it would need another 6"

Well, the SEMA show doesn't start until Nov. 4. So let's wait and see what the thing looks like in real life.

I agree, that front bar and those side rails are all for show -- they do nothing for clearance. But let's hope this show car means that Subaru has not forgotten or given up on the off-road enthusiasts that frequent ORS.com! I am still holding out hope for a more aggressive off-road version of a Subaru vehicle, presumably a Forester, in the next five years.

If you go to this link you can see the pictures from day one of the SEMA showing the Mountain Rescue Forester.
