Hey all

Thought I should post up one of the latest diy projects on the mighty foz,

Fitted a set of Lightforce Striker 170 spotties on the forrie the other day, got the idea for the mounting bracket from a piccie somewhere on the net.

Bottom piece is obviously a standard numberplate attachment for mounting spotlightls, to take out the vibration and offer a bit more support the brackets are made to clamp onto the crash bar in behind the bumper.

This setup has been on the car for nearly 12 months now and over a fair few gravel roads its still solid as a rock.

Combined with the ebay special HiD high beams they throw some excellent light around on the night drives.

Threw in a bonus pic of the Led I installed in the rear to make loading the vehicle easier at night too.

Support brackets, made from 5 x 50mm flat bar - probably could have used 3mm and still had heaps of strength.

Final Fitment

Rear led install, ebay special.

Any issue with shake using that bracket?

That looks great mate! Is the rear LED bright?

Hey mate, its reasonably bright, I will try and get a pic of the light it throws out the back of the vehicle.

Its only a 12 led adjustable unit, about 150mm wide, 2 would have been nice but I was feeling stingy when purchasing.

Hi rally, After nearly 12 months of driving I havn't tightened any of the bolts up and there is still no noticable shaking of the lights while driving at all, even on some fairly rough roads.

Heres another pic a bit more front on, not real close up and a bit blurry but anyway..

Hi Jarm

Stirring up an old thread ...

I'm planning on fitting driving lights to my MY09 Foz that has an ECB bar mounted as per the photo, but I'm a bit concerned that they may block the airflow through the radiator.

Your lights are in a similar position so have you had any problems?

Comments from everyone else are welcomed, as always! :)

Thanks

Graeme

I had a set of driving lights mounted to a nudge bar (nudge bar was virtually identical) on my MY05 Forry XT for over a year, before I upgraded to the full bull bar & never ever had a problem with airflow.

Hope this helps you some what.

Regards
Mr Turbo

I have some fitted to my 06 Foz the same place Jarm86 has his. I too was worried about airflow to the radiator but have not noticed any difference in temps.

Regards Peter

I really like that set up, are you interested in making up a set to sell me?

Mr T & Peroco

Thanks for that feedback - didn't really think lights should affect the radiator but never hurts to ask wiser heads!
