Hi all, Why do some people blank out their number plates in pictures or video?
How do others do it? I open the photo with MS paint, but I havent worked out how to do it when the number plate is on a diagonal

You will find it far easier to do using FastStone Viewer that is now on your computer. It is fine for this kind of simple editing.
br, j
fastone is fantastic! so quick

I use FastStone Viewer for quick reviews and comparisons, where it is far faster than Bridge or PS.
But I do all my serious stuff in Adobe CS5 Premium, using predominantly Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop. I always shoot raw + jpeg with all my cameras, and the raw gets taken into an aRGB or ProPhotoRGB, 16-bit workspace after colour balancing in ACR.
Needless to say, I use a fully colour managed workflow.
However, don't even think about doing any serious editing using it, because FV isn't a colour-managed application.
Basically, that means that any editing you do using it will most likely result in a colour-mangled output image ...![]()
i personally dont use many photo programes mainly because i am useless at photography
Brother, THAT is some printer! :biggrin:Gidday Thunder
Some would say that I am much the same .... :iconwink:
But I do try, and know a bit about it.
Composition is probably my weakest area, but I have been working on this for the last five years or so.
I have found that in order to successfully print at A2 size on my printer, the image has to be technically perfect ... Managing to combine the technical perfection required with an interesting image is the tricky part ....
Brother, THAT is some printer!
Mehh still can't see the point unless I am doing something illegal.
Well, that's fine for you. I usually blank mine out. You never know what kind of "nut" you might run into on the net who may want to do more than just "talk" about cars or whatever..![]()
