looking for fresh NM trails

anyone know any good off the beaten path camp trails around santa fe/northern nm? all the ones i used to go to are closed or have become very very crouded

Only ones i know of are the ones in the red river / questa area. We took the forest rds from Red River to about 3/4 way to questa this past winter til the snow got too deep. then hit it from the Questa side to Cabresto Lake. Can't speak for it now, but there wasn't a soul up there then! You can check out the pics in the trip report area.

beleive me a co run is on the to do list but gotta build up more pto, that and this unecpected car payement is abit combersome when it comes to travel plans

I fully get that .,I mite have a old subi .but happy i.dont have a car payment .and.i.dont feel as bad when she.gets beauty scratches lol .well any time you head.out we would love to join you

will plan a trip soonish- again just have to get the finances better sorted, hopefully work will get busy enough to pick up so serious overtime thru the winter- hate working extra but the checks are right nice, and will make paying it off happen alot faster
