Ok, I have gone through and made a little compilation of this weekends trip :) I did not get to do as much 4x4'ing as I wanted to due to my daughter being somewhat sick and my car being WAY too heavy for the hilly terrain (I was packed for 3 people for 3 days...) All in all it was a great trip for the whole family :) On to the pics!!

Breakfast :) My wife made boil-in-bag omelets. Super easy clean up, no mess, perfect camping food. My wife pre made each omelet at home. 3 eggs, Ham, Cheese Hmmm..hmmmm good :)

I made boiled eggs and loaded baked potatoes for lunch. I like to eat well when I am camping, lol. I enjoy backpacking in and camping light as well, but when you can carry good food, why not.

While I was out camping I used my new favorite tool :) I made a long curved tube out of old AC lines at my dealership. I use it for tending to the coals , without being face first with the intense heat of the flame ;) Nothing to write home about, but it is a pretty handy "free" tool.

Protection. I am always prepared for any kind of event, be it rain, snow, or even Mountain Lions. I have seen 2 cats around this site in the last 3 weeks. I am not sure if they are one in the same or separate, but their presence is enough to make me bring my Glock. My families safety is priority while out and about.

By the time Sunday rolled around, my Wife wanted to go explore another site, so we met up with a couple friends down the road and went hiking to finish off the trip. It was a great trip and I can't wait until my next outing to share with my ORS family :)

Gidday Jamie

Moved, as discussed. Hope you like the thread title ... :iconwink:

Looks like a great trip.

If I hadn't just had lunch (and a severe egg allergy ... ), I would be drooling over all those foodie shots .

How do you all fit in that tiny little thing?

I am not exactly huge, but I like driving in a relatively straight arm position on the open road. Slightly closer and with the seat higher when driving in the city and off-road.
In my normal open road driving position, I could travel in the back seat of my Fox for a long drive, but it is still a tad cramped. Wouldn't like to have three adults in the back seat for very far!!

That looks like a fantastic family weekend!!!

Love the big stone chairs at the camp site, those are sweet.

I know what you mean mate :iconwink:
The funny thing is, I always seem to eat better when I go camping too :raz:
