G's 2012 forester

my beloved impreza was KIA in may of this year <2012>, not really the way i wanted to get my forester upgrade but have it (horay!) since then took a trail run up placitas pass the back route up to sandia peek on a rainy day the weekend after i got it and sure as my impreza not the slightest slip. tent rocks 2 weeks ago but that dirt track was rather well groomed and rio chama camping run this last (jun 1) weekend, as expected (some more) its everything i wanted- now i just need to find money for the roof rack and wait very impatiently for a stateside company i like to put out a 2" lift for alittle more ground clearance...
- SWEET found primitive racing thru a comment turbo posted, going to call them this week and make sure that their underbody armor will fit my 12

:( ...

Mine ('93) came to a less sticky end as a trade-in at the s/h dealer's yard last December.

LOVE my "new" Fox though.
I would never have bought my Impreza in 1993 if the Forester had been available then ... Always wanted one!

Always remember that brains generally conquers brawn.
Our technique is often the most important part of our driving; and the "ability" of our cars ... :iconwink:

BTW, a warm :welcome: to the ORS forum mate; and congrats on starting your member's journal.

G'day gorillamath & :welcome: to ORS.
Sorry to hear about your impreza :sadbanana:
I'm sure, given time, you'll love your new Forry just the same :)

Regards
Mr Turbo

that impreza was my very first new car, bought with a total of 3 miles on it- at just under 70k in 8 years im convinced it had another 10 years minimum in it- my forester by comparasion was extra old with the final purchase agreement signed with 74 miles on it

rant of the week followed by happy discovery- not ever 1500 miles on it yet, and literally the first time i parked somewhere other than the extreme far end of the scorching parking lot anywhere i scored a nice big dent in the front fender, right where its really tough to fix nice and clean, ******* is very lucky i did not catch them do it!! but on a good note i realized that the AT tires i was shopping around for came stock on my car (had a moment of DUH look at your car genius) not the exact more aggressive geolanders i was looking at but goot AT's all the same

B******ds!!! Of course they didnt leave a note! :yell::furious::eviltoyou:

Primitive Racing bash plate and Sumo Parts - Off Road 2" lift kit will really help offroad :monkeydance:

Sorry to hear about your fender damage gorillamath :sadbanana:
I had the rear bumper on my Forry smacked in at a car park once
I was really :censored: p!s5ed at the time :furious:

But it did give me a good excuse to get my SubaXtreme bar though

couldent be happier with the way the forester handled thru 300+ miles of blizzard- gotta love that traction control thats smart enough to work the way it was designed
