Went for a one night camp up at Paroo last night with a bunch of friends. They were doubtful of my suby making it, but upon and arrival without hiccup everyone came up to me and said, "that car's a little beast" I guess they are now educated on subarus.:monkeydance:
Anyway, here's some pics of the waterhole. It's really secluded and peaceful and even one night felt like a holiday. Not bad for less than a 2 hour trip.

The suby found some mud and got her windows tinted... it actually really cooled the inside down.

I'll put up a short crappy hand held video of some of the more challenging parts maybe a GPS track too.

Great stuff. Looks like a beautiful place. You're getting your money's worth out of that L series.

What a fantastic, peaceful & beautiful looking area. And just two hours away aswell, thats brilliant :raz:

Love the pics of your dirty L Series too mate :monkeydance:

Great shots, looks like an awesome place to spend a few days

Hey guys, I made this map unlisted but I'll share it with you! naaaw don't you feel special!?
This is the return trip back to the highway but I don't think the app started tracking right away.. not too sure, but at least once you're that far in you can't take a wrong turn, it's pretty much just one way in and out. Not far out of town either, maybe 90mins from town side to waterhole.

There's also a Paroo river much closer to the Qld/NSW border, maybe he meant that one?

Got the few little hand held vids from my digital camera and pasted them together. It's not great quality, but it'll give you an idea of the type of terrain.

I love seeing the Australian off road photos. Reminds me of my bike tour in Australia - I'd love to go back there some time and do some mountain biking on those fire roads.

There are a few Fords yeah, but Holden (GM) is our home brand so they are quite a bit more popular.... although the people here who are serious about off road driving either get Toyota landcruiser or Nissan patrol.

Jeez Species, mentioning BOTH wars in the one post - Ford /GM and Nissan / Toyota! :poke:
