Hey guys, I haven't looked at spotties for a LONG time... I think it was when my dad bought his 80 series cruiser.... off the showroom floor o_0
So I thought about getting some for my wagon just because of the vastness of the landscape here. So i walked in a store to check out the Hella's and my eyes popped out of my head!! I never thought a pair of lights could be equal to half my car's purchase price!
So i looked for the budget brands and the SCA eclipse series with 100w Halogens look like a treat for $50. Anyone had experience with these? I know you get what you pay for but are you really telling me a pair of top end lights worth $800 are going to put out more light or last longer than 16 pairs el cheapos?? I know the throw will be better with the pencil beams but 2 lights compared to 32?? I can't see the worth in it, myself.
Sorry for the rant.. but are the SCA lights really that rubbish? would like to hear some opinions

i saor a comparison between cheap ones and expensive one not Necessarily sca, but the cheap ones leaked, broke over heavy corrigations and blew globes regularly.
make sure with the cheap one the globes can actually be replace

I've always found Narva to be good value. I wouldn't put $800 lights on the front of my car as I'm prepared to lose whatever I put there be it through damage or theft.

Agreed I ddid the whole small spottie and changing gblobes with bigger and white ones.

I would recommend a pair of Narva 175 (the round ones, cant memeber exact name). Get a spot and spread combo too. They put out a good light for the price ($145 on ebay with free postage and new or $200 in the shops). Then if you want more light HID the spotties whie will x3-x5 the output of the light.
