*CAR WAS RECOVERED*

I hope this is an alright place to post about Stolen cars, didnt notice another place on the forum relating to this topic.

I live in West Seattle Admiral area. Sometime last night my Subie was stolen from in front of my house. Police report has been filed. I've posted about it on several websites. Hopefully it will show up.

I would appreciate it if anyone on the site who lives in this area, or Washington in general, would keep an eye out for it.

Geez mate

That's rotten news  .

Hope you are insured, and that they get it back in one piece.

If I see it around Melbourne, Australia, I'll let you know ... :iconwink:

That's a bugger mate!!
Let us know what happens. I'm worried about my foz getting stolen where I live, going to install a kill switch ad maybe an alarm. Atleast if it wakes me I can set the dogs out on the *******s!

I will keep this thread updated for sure. I highly recommend any extra forms of anti theft devices. What i learned today from the officer who filed the report is that 80s and 90s subarus have a problem where the key will wear down the lock and ignition making it so pretty much any other subaru key will open and start it... if i would have known this before i would have had at least a steering wheel lock bar.

lol, I would love to see someone's dogs chase down a car thief! :D

not cool... I hope it turns up

Thanks! i really hope so to. A lot of time, money and love down the drain otherwise.

Check Craigslist.com and your local papers to see if any parts come up.

I have been all day. checking for parts and the car itself. This is really good advice for anyone who gets their car stolen! I'm hoping whoever took it just did it for the fun of stealing a car and left it somewhere in one piece. That may be high hopes tho.

Thank you so much! That's awesome you did that. i have been trying to get the news up on several seattle blogs and such. The more info out there about it the better.

Hope you get it back in 1 piece mate.

Thank you! I very much hope so as well.

Oh mate that's terrible...*******s! :madred::yell::furious:

Rest assured we'll be keeping an eye out for it in Oz! ;)

It really is! All those angry faces have been exactly what i have looked like all day!

Haha! I will rest easy tonight knowing my mates in Australia are looking for my subie! ;)

Or better still, just let the dogs sleep in your Forry at night instead :iconwink:

Hope you get it back in 1 piece mate.

That's terrible news mate. I hope it turns up unscathed.

MY CAR WAS RECOVERED TODAY!

Thank you to everyone on the site who kept an eye out for it and gave me support! I appreciate all of it.

The car is in one piece but the low life thieves who took it removed my roof basket with the lights and spare full size tire. Plus other emergency items in the back along with other things.

I'm buying a club today and i recommend everyone with older subies do to! They are just too easy to steal apparently.

No way! That's fantastic! You are lucky to live up north, if your car disappears down here there's about a 99% chance it's in Mexico by the time you wake up!

Thats fantastic news mate :)

Did they end up getting the scumbags that took it aswell ?

:woohoo: Awesome you got it back in working order. Too bad about the missing stuff, but at least you have wheels again.:)

Sorry I missed this before. I'm glad to hear you got it back.
