2001 Subaru Outback

So I have had my car about a year and the tires are at the point of replacement. I am new to the forum so if this has been addressed I did not find it on my search.

What tires seem to be the best for dirt roads, snow and around town? From what I see the General Grabbers are popular.

Also what size is the max I can go stock? And is there really a lift out there? I searched and it seemed like they were all homemade gigs? Is there a "kit" I can just buy that has all the stuff I need?

Any help would be appreciated. I will also post pictures up when I do it.
