Green Plug under dash

Hi guys, just new to suby's and the forum,
stuck my head under the dash today to find a orange/white-blue/black with green male-female plug ends, it's drivers side behind fuse panel, unplugged
any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thats a plug for diagnosis and mapping purpose can be ignored unless you want to do something of the mentioned stuff

You connect them together and the check engine light on the dash flashes. Depending on how many flashes it tells a code (Subaru specific). I have had to use them a few times to find out some codes on my Forester :iconwink:

With ignition off, connect the black plugs, then turn ignition on/engine off to get your codes...

To clear the codes, connect the green plugs then run through the procedure.

Doesn't work with OBD I cars like mine

Nope, only the revisioned 2.5 n/a that came out in 2005.

Turbos are different though.
