Anyone in the car insurance game?
I am looking and getting a Victorian "Club Permit" from Vicroads rather than 12months full registration. Club permits are allowed if you are member of an approved car club and gives you 90 days of road use for your car. Full registration is $500 and club permits are $88 plus $30 club membership.
Only problem is getting insurance on a car requires full rego. I know Shannons have an insurance for unreg cars, as long as the cars don't move on their own power.
Any ideas?

What club are you thinking of joining? Investigating this myself for my collection of cars. Makes keping old cars on the road much more viable. I was actually thinking we need a classic subaru club!

I was looking at the geelong motorsport club, https://gmsc.com.au/

There is a list of approved clubs on the vicroads website.

I looked at the cost of membership, whether I thought I could participate in the clubs and also some clubs have restrictions on the type of vehicle.

The application for the vicroads club permit requires a signature from the car club verifying your membership.

Regulations I can cope with, it is the 'exclusions' in policiies which p!ss me off! :iconwink:
