pip's new project '83 GL wagon

my buddy had a old subaru wagon that he needed to let go for cheap so i picked it up just for fun.

167k miles everything works and was just smogged in CA had a brand new set of 185-70-13's runs great buts needs a lil love. (tranny grinds into 3rd 2 torn cv boots in the front and a belt)

i'd like to get some 14's with a bodylift but so far it wheels like a ol yota.

That looks like a good one. Minimal rust? I had one that same color as a parts car when I had my GL. Fun project, great score!!!

Good find plazaxt :)
It looks like it's in pretty good condition for it's age etc ;)
Now...let the mods begin :raz:

Nice find! As a three-time Brat owner, I've got a real appreciation for the EA81 vehicles. IMHO, they were the best all-around vehicles Subaru made.

Hitachi or Nippondenso carb & ignition? Can't quite tell from the photos. Also, how's the tinworm on it?

wow that's given me confidence in my L series on the rally track out the back of the farm it's nice to drive with any car when it's dry but with the amount of rain we've had in SE Queensland lately it's become quite soggy.

here's our basher sigma on the farm (hope you don't mind me adding this vid)

Thats some sticky looking mud, bet you were expecting it to get bogged lol :raspberry:

I reckon you've scored a great Subie there

Nice video you got a nice piece of land there.

thanks, I don't actually own it. It's a family farm (ex sugar cane) but I don't wanna hijack your thread ;)
I'm really impressed with the standard MY getting through that deep mud!

What a great little subie you got there. I wish I had an L-Series or MY. Will get one after uni though.

I can't believe you didn't get stuck in that mud. haha
Many miles on it?
