Haven't been nearly as active lately because our PC died (mother board) about a month ago. I've been using our really slow old laptop, and my sons lap top but they just haven't been the same.

Thanks to a nice holiday bonus, enter the Mini Mac.

Cute lil' thing, a bit of a learning curve, but so far so good. A bit on the spendy side for such a little box (bill is almost all the change I had left from $670) but if it last longer than 2 PCs, it will have been well worth it.

Once in a Mac, you don't go back...

Oh how I disagree

Thats pretty darn cheap, well compared to aus prices of more than double that...

I will keep quiet about them lasting longer than a PC... but I guess nothing really lasts these days.

Im not a fan of the things but when you work with them its abit different and slightly more painful :iconwink:

How are you finding it in comparison to your PC?

How the heck does that work? Do you just hook it in to an existing monitor? I'm more of a PC guy myself, especially since Windows 7 came out.

I know how you feel carljwnc & I feel your pain :(
I remember when I blew up my mother board :yell: When I replaced it, I ended up rebuilding the whole computer :Bananacomputer: at the same time :p
Now it's like a brand new one :quitar:

I'd have to say though, going by how much they are over here, thats a pretty good price :)

Regards

Whelp, so far so good. My wife has had a MacPro for about three years now that she uses for photo editing and it has been almost trouble free, almost. But, that last PC was only two years old when it bit the dust.

Matt, everything just plugged right in, monitor, key board mouse....

Liking it so far, will keep you updated.:)

Solid State hard drive? I have one in all my machines now as the OS drives. Normal HDDs are just too slow for everday use. If it takes longer than 30seconds to boot up its slow. lol

Solid state, I'm not sure? 10-15 seconds to boot up.:)
