It is worth being aware that these cars- all of them- form part of a regular race series and it would be fair to say this is not unusual. Look at what happens at races such as Le Mans when you have cars with big differences in speeds. And those outright Le Mans cars are seriously fast race cars.

haha, you know those guys had to of just about :censored: their pants!

I think I just about :censored: my pants haha

Yeah they sure are...just ask Mark Webber...he flipped one at full speed yet managed to walk away :surprised:

It certainly stalled Mark's career for a time- even though it was obvious to anyone it could not possibly be his fault. In fact, it stalled it almost as badly as not having a German passport in a German F1 team. Like many I have been following Mark's career since his days here in the "Yellow Pages" Formula Ford. When he was driving in numerous, uncompetitive F1 cars, he was always quicker than his team mates. Yet somehow he was blamed for the unreliability of the cars when he drove them faster than they should have been. The way he has been treated by the team in the last couple of years is probably best summed up in this interview

Here is the footage from inside the Lotus Exige that overtook the 2 cars. Must say I love the Exige- what a car! Look at the name of the video- Threading the Needle

Wow, what a passing move. It sure looks different from the inside the cockpit
Threading the Needle is right
:censored: me, did I see right at what the speedo was reading as he made the pass  246km's/hr (I'm assuming it was km's & not miles) & still climbing

The entry on to the main straight is pretty good at Philip Island. Yep- 246 was right. I assume km/h would be right. On a clear day it is a beautiful circuit, with views out over Bass Straight. Quite the opposite though in bad weather. There is even an animal sanctuary at the circuit.

Yep thats the vid! very spectacular...

Yes well....
& in Marks reaction!

I feel so sorry for Mark Webber, he has been treated so badly yet shows great loyalty, discipline & strength of character.

Not sure if the car on the RHS of the track should have moved over for an obviously much faster car.

Was a nice bit of driving :monkeydance:

I'd have to go back and look specifically for it, but I'd imagine blue flags would have been waving and guys in slow cars know that the fast guys will be coming through. Cars that are being lapped must obey the blue flags and not get in the way of the lapping cars. The drivers of the slow cars know that they need to check their mirrors, will see the flags waving and know that if they hold their line they won't get the biggest Liberace job they'd ever likely to experience.
