Took a trip to the lakebottoms over the weekend. We spent a few hours hitting up mudholes and water pits... and here's the pics we got. My buddy's Jeep has some half bald street tires so I ended up pulling him out a few times.

^Hit this hole quite a few times. He got some pics of me hitting it on his camera but he so happened to have lost it that day.

^Silos left over from farms that were here before TVA flooded everything.

^Just getting to the silos about a quarter mile away was hellaciously muddy.

^You can really see how much clearance the King Springs give the Outback.

^Even a stock Jeep has excellent articulation. I gave the rock a go, but it was pitiful compared to his Jeep so I deleted the picture lol.

^Jeeps are good at getting stuck too lol.

^Getting my gear out to pull him out.

^Got stuck in that pit on purpose so he could finally pull me out.

All in all, I was amazed at the Subarus performance and realize I need low range even more than ever now. And also some genuine mud tires.

Now that is how a Subi should look nice 'n' muddy with dirt all over it :raz: :monkeydance:

Looks like that was a bunch of fun!!!

I've got to ask; why is the lake empty???

Oh it was. And this time of year is when they're letting the water out of the lake to produce power with the dam. It'll be down all winter, and then come spring it'll slowly rise and by early-mid summer it'll be full to the brim and ready to be swam in.
