I was having a poke around the engine at the weekend in my Forester and noticed the rubber boot/ gator that goes over the clutch fork was really badly perished and when I touchd it, the thing almost crumbled.

Anyone else seen this? Any cheap repairs??

Spoke to Subaru about a replacement part and it was more than I expected, but if there is no alternative I will have to get one as filling the bell housing with dust can't do a lot of good.

Cheers

Tim

I will have to have a look around, good thinking on looking at breakers. The problem over in England is there are not that many Subarus around. Probably out of all subarus over here, 70% are impreza turbos.

I will ask around on ebay, as there are usually a few being broken.

About the only place I saw Subarus in Europe was Switzerland.
