Some of you may know I was the proud creator and owner of a particular blue Forester which thankfully was adopted by a fellow Suby pilot on this very forum....
I just thought I'd let you know that its not true.... I kept the Forester and after a series of extreme body work sessions and freaky frankenstein esqu work this is what it came out like.............

Seriosuly though....... With the birth of our first rug rat imminent and intensions to do some solid touring laden with dogs and tents and crap I grabbed this 2004 D22 Navara.
All the works done... Well its never done but you know what I mean.
Canopy, snorkel, front bar, 120Ltr tank, Old Man Emu suspension lift, comms, trailer brake controller, dual batt setup. It does about 1200kms on this tank averageing around 11/100k.
Still to come.... a decent rear bar with an actual departure angle with tyre and fuel carrier and some sliders. Toss in a solid winch too. Prob find a simple chip to go with a 2.5" exhaust from the dump pipe back. That should about do it.
Ofcourse I've wired in heavy cable for fridges and ciggy sockets for nav and chargers all over the shop but its really quite ready to go. Loves all terrain and crawls like a mother.
What peeves me is now dudes in trucks wave as they go by. Never used to wave to me in the Foz. It was so much more satisfying to see them go really!? Ah well... I had to grow up one day.
Taken it to Landcrusier Park and Scenic rim and no matter how much clearance or grunt I have I still drive it like I'm in the Forester. Picking the line to get me there and back. It really is quite astounding considering the weight.
Not a 10th the fun around town though.... turning circle like the titanic. Thats what the wifes car is for.
