G-OIL Synthetic

Well, my free oil changes have finally come to an end  so it's back to doing it myself. Thinking really hard about switching to synthetic, specifically, a bio-synthetic called G-Oil. I can't find to much about it on other forums other than a few that like it and a bunch of folks just sitting on the fence waiting for others to try it. Green Earth Technologys (G.E.T.) web site is www.getg.com. Anyone tried this or have any thoughts about it? All comments appreciated. Check out their promotions tab while your there, one heck of a deal.

Here's a link to a video that discusses the manufacturing process. Hope the link works.

UPDATE: March 3, 2012

After reviewing mulitiple Blackstone reports and many customer reviews I have made the switch to G-Oil 5W-30 at 41,500 miles. Way to early to make any definitive comments one way or the other and I will do an oil analysis at every oil change to track the numbers (and post them here if anyone shows any interest) but, the engine does seem to turn over easier and "feels" smoother at all RPM's.

UPDATE: April 15, 2012

First oil change and oil analysis done at 2187 miles. Change was done early as I was coming up on a 2500 mile trip and didn't want to push 5000 miles on the oil change since switching from Subaru Synthetic. Anyway, oil analysis came back with great numbers with the recommendation to run the next oil change out to 5000 miles. Viscosity was down but acceptable at this point. Miles per gallon since switching to G-Oil 5W-30 has gone up 3-4 mpg's, more if highway speed is kept at 65 mph or lower. My best mpg's on the trip happened between Meridian, Mississippi and Tyler, Texas at over 31 mpg with the speed 65 mph or lower (construction zones). My worst mpg's occured when driving at posted speeds (75 mph) and with stop and go traffic through several towns, 22 mpg.
