Domindart's journal- 2004 forester, turbo, auto

I guess Ill make a journal here too, I already have one at the other subaru forum.

Mine here will be a little different than mine there. So go see my other one too if ur interested!

Ill start the journal by mentioning the specifics.

2004 Subaru forester XT auto silver

Bought at a Volkswagon dealer on I believe 5-31-11.

Aprox mileage when bought would be 94,300...

Got into an accident around June 10. Rearended a large pickup truck on highway. I think someone slammed on the brakes a few cars up. Not sure, I rearended someone once before in the Mustang. I wasnt watching the road! :p Dont know if thats what happened again but ANYWAY!!....

Car was in shop for what felt like a month. Fixed at a Subaru dealership. I was very pleased with the fix. Front end looks new now. See pics.

After back from shop, went onto cleaning it up and changing oil. Also Did the spare carrier uptop, a STI exhaust axleback, and window tint.

Pics.

This is when I first got her!!! First mod was the basket . Paid $180 I think. Good enough deal for me. No wear marks, looks great, works great.

Took it off for the moment, some crazy member on this or that forum said I will save money on fuel if I lost it. Havent really crunched numbers, but ya... ;)

No more rack?

It does make sense as you will have less wind resistance, which in turn should give you better fuel economy :)

My rack goes on and off.
Went on last night for the camping trip to Corryong.
Will stay on until after the Labour Day trip in March!
Given that most of my driving is at highway speeds it saves me a bit in fuel.
