G'day all.

Though I'd share my next 24 hours or so.

I've purchased some retro skis from fleabay for super cheap = Bennie being super excited. Hopefully I'll be able to ski on them for retro day :D

Anyway, I thought I had thursday night off as previously arranged. So I double check this with the other fella that is my night off - no can do. But I've already made arrangements.

So at 6am when i knock off I'll be down to the staff carpark to pick up Ruby Scoo, then my wife and gear from what is home up here then we're off to melbs.

I'll get us off the mount, Kez will do the freeway stuff on cruise 8) Then I'll do the melbourne driving stuff and the drive home as we'll be convoying to the base of the mount before all jumping into Ruby Scoo for the climb up.

Hopefully this all happens before I start work at 10pm again tomorrow night, which is techically now later today! Fun fun.

The things we do! Last epic trip was leaving here at 3.40, in melbs by 8am, did stuff in melbs, at home, in benders then back up to Hotham arriving at 1am. I drove the whole thing. Good times. Cruise is great!

So that's what I'll be doing today... Hopefully tomorrow night's shift I'm a) on time and b) it's good to me like it has been all this week. Murphy's law might have something else to say about it though :(

Cheers

Water skis or Snow skis? Or does it even snow there?! I know the kiwis have good snow skiing.

Mate, it was snowing not far from Sydney the other week! Not reliably though until you hit the Snowy Mountains. They cover a reasonably large area, but are not very high

Thanks guys! I'm now at work, made it on time and safely in one piece. I am however running on about 3 hours of sleep that I got in the car while Kez drove... This shift is not going to be fun! And it's the final night for the mexican menu at the bar/bistro that's in the building - so they're having one pretty big mexican fiesta!

That would have been about two or three weeks ago now! That was the last time we saw snow. Reports are expecting about 50cm of snow this weekend - that's epic by Australian standards! But it is one thing to predict it and another thing to actually get it :(

Oh, and Ruby Scoo rolled over the very old golden 450k km on the Calder headed to Benders this arvo :monkeydance:

Here's some pics of the day - not many but hopefully you'll still enjoy any how.

The start of the day - at the end of my shift:

^ Looking a little north of east I think - roughly where the sun would be coming up.

^ The moon and stars looked awesome about half an hour before this - deep blue/black sky that changed to light blue, yellow then a light orange. I'm pretty sure there was a bit of green in the middle of all of it. The stars up above it all set the whole thing off!

And the big mile stone:
