No - this isn't me.....I saw it in yesterday's news. It was a close call for this person. The good news is they made it - I'd like to see someone try that in a Captiva!

Good on them. I would do that in my Forester but not with highway tyres and I would tie a tarp over the front of the car since I dont have a snorkel

Really goos pics too.

That's pretty dangerous- even more so if the water was moving at all quickly. Was nothing learnt from the Queensland floods just months ago? Roads get washed away and you would not even know till you fell in and/or get washed away

madness
hope the brown stains on the driver's seat comes out easily

That is wild! Kind of reminds me of this crazy video of a couple foresters driving through what looked like a lake, except they HAD SNORKELS MR TURBO!

No current may have helped too....haha. But yeah, that dude was nuts to go through that.

I wonder which couple of Foresters did that :raz:

In the above, I think the water is not all that deep but the car is travelling too fast for the conditions and so is pushing out a lot of wake and making it appear deeper than it is in reality.

"That's not slow and easy!"
Haha, you guys did good on that. I saw that vid long before i even owned a subie or even knew about this site.
Convinced me the Subaru would do just fine!

Thats not that deep been through 0.4m in slow flowing water in my forrester the air intake is right up the top behind drivers headlight and made so water cant jusr splash into ontake but in saying that i had information from truck drivers saying road was fine and how the layout of the crossing was. Otherwise always walk crossing

oh yea from looking at it to he took the wrong line centre would of been much shallower

Thats insane :shake: What were they thinking, especially with a current as strong as that

Mr T has just 2 speeds!
Thats correct I must say

Speaking of Mr T, i wonder where our good buddy is??? :poke:
Just had my computer rebuilt & just got it back. What was meant to take 1 day ended up taking the best part of a week :furious: But I'm happy to say I'm back

Probably would of been quicker for you to send it over to W.A overnight let me do it and send it back
Oh and just remember to keep the important things backed up. I am forever telling people all their data, photos, movies, docs, music is gone because their computer has died or is full of viruses and its their fault for not backing it up...

Probably would have, if it wasn't for that ash cloud thats been hanging around
Luckily I had everything backed up, but it didn't matter this time, as they were able to save everything :iconwink:
I know what you mean though mate. Lets just say "once bitten twice shy" :)

Regards
Mr Turbo
